August : Reed Exhibitions Japan Ltd.was founded.

1987

January : Took over “NEPCON JAPAN” from and began holding annually.


May : Head office moved to the Shinjuku Nomura Building.

1988

May : Launched “International Optical Fair Tokyo”.

1989

February : Launched “Tokyo International Book Fair”.

1990

March : Launched “International Jewellery Tokyo”.

June : Launched “Manufacturing World Japan”.

September : Launched “International Stationery & Office Products Fair”.

1991

July : Launched “FINETECH JAPAN”.

1992

July : Launched “Japan IT Week [Spring]”. Launched “Japan Stationery Awards”.

1995

February : Overcoming the Great Hanshin-Awaji Earthquake, “the International Jewellery Tokyo” was successfully held just one month later.

October : Launched “Special seminars for exhibitors”.

1997

June : Launched “International Jewellery Kobe” to contribute to Kobe after earthquake.

1998

September : Newly launched in Osaka, “Manufacturing World Osaka”


1999

June : Japan’s first acquisition of an exhibition. Acquired “INTERPHEX JAPAN” and started organising it.

2000

January : Launched “IC&Sensor Packaging Expo”“Electronic Components & Materials Expo”“ PWB EXPO”.

2001

January : Launched “Photonix”.

2005

January : Launched “SMART ENERGY WEEK [Spring]” .

May : Invite Bill Gates, then Chairman of Microsoft, as a keynote speaker of “Japan IT Week”.


2006

July : Launched “GIFTEX [Summer]”  “Administration & Human Resources & Accounting Week Tokyo” .

2009

January : Overcoming the global financial crisis, the first ”AUTOMOTIVE WORLD” had a great success.


July : Launched ‘Marketing Week [Summer]’.

April : Launched “Highly-function Material Week” .

June : Launched “COSMETECH [TOKYO]”.

July : Launched “EDIX TOKYO”.


October : Launched “FASHION WORLD TOKYO (Autumn)” .

November : Launched “Japan IT Week [Autumn]” .

April : The 21st “FINTECH JAPAN” was held one month after the Great East Japan Earthquake, and all subsequent exhibitions were held as planned.

July : Launched “CONTENT TOKYO”.

October : Launched “J-AGRI TOKYO” and “TOOL JAPAN”.

June : Launched “COSME TOKYO”.

October : Launched “International Jewellery Tokyo [Autumn]“, “Highly-functional Material Week Osaka” and “SMART ENERGY WEEK Osaka”.

2014

April : Launched “FASHION WORLD TOKYO [Spring]”.

July : Launched “Live Entertainment Expo TOKYO” and “Event Expo TOKYO” .
